42nd Hobie Classic, San Diego, Sail and Camp with us!

The Hobie Cat Association and Division Two have invited all Island Owners to join Fleet 2 the weekend of May 30 – June 1st. For lots of fun, sailing, make some new friends, have some good food and enjoy an Island sail clinic.

The Hobie Island Sailing Event, clinic and BYOB Lunch will take place on Saturday, May 31st. 10:00am Arrive and set up your Hobie Island 11:00 Watch the launch of Hobie Sailboats racers 11:30 Bring Your Own Lunch and Join us for a Island Clinic (Island Captains Dave and Luke review today sail & route) 12:30 Launch of all Hobie Islands (weather rules route) 3:00-4:00 Return to shore, breakdown, freshen up, relax and ready for the evenings festivities. 6:00pm – Join all other Hobie sailors for tonight’s BBQ! (If you are fairly new to Island Sailing arrive early for tips) EVENING FESTIVITIES Join the Hobie Sailboat racers for an evening of; great food, live music, dancing, camaraderie and great raffle prizes. The dinner cost is $10.00 per person. Dinner and one drink ticket are included. Additional drinks can be purchased. (Cash only dinner/bar) DINNER; Meat or veggie burgers, salad, dessert. CAMPING This year Camping will be available for $20.00 per night. If you would like to bring your RV or camping gear – the Fleet has acquired both parking and camping for the night of May 30th and 31st (Friday and Saturday- choose one or both nights) This will take place in the assigned parking area behind the beach area (not on the grass.) Please bring: PFD, ALL SAIL GEAR, WATER, SNACKS, LUNCH, PLAN FOR COOL, WINDY WEATHER AS WELL AS WARM WEATHER, COME EARLY, STAY LATE! Invitation with map can be emailed to you.
